Municipality of Svetvinčenat, with only 2000 inhabitants, owns the most important Venetian castle in Istria. Investments in cultural heritage offer great potential for the development of cultural tourism, and at the same time, they are extremely expensive. Svetvinčenat faced with the challenge of creating a highly innovative and competitive project, and to raise funds for it.
In cooperation with Apsolon, the municipality of Svetvinčenat has designed and prepared an innovative, modern and complex project with as many as 11 partners that will ensure the long-term sustainability of the revitalization project of the Morosini Grimani castle. The quality of the project was recognized and the project was co-financed from EU funds in the amount of 19 million HRK.
In the summer of 2019, the Morosini Grimani castle shows his new face and awaits the first visitors who will be able to enjoy concerts, performances, festivals, live history, Escape room games, and local delicacies and wines. With this investment, Svetvincenat becomes a significant tourist destination!
