THE CHALLENGE
The Thailand Government has decided to implement comprehensive regulatory reforms aimed at improving private sector business conditions and reducing public sector burdens and corruption.
THE SOLUTION
Apsolon’s experts, in cooperation with the US partner, have reviewed the regulatory framework for licenses and procedures, calculated their cost for the Thai economy and prepared a series of recommendations for simplifying or abolishing obsolete and inefficient licenses and procedures. Apsolon has developed and implemented an e-Gillotine ™ web application that contains an e-license registry – a database of 7,000 licenses that can be searched by the competent agencies and which contains information about the required documents, fees and time needed to obtain a particular license. Following the adoption of recommendation by the Government of Thailand, reform teams will use e-Gillotine ™ to embark on regulatory regression.

An easy and transparent regulatory framework and licensing system has been set up to facilitate and simplify business in Thailand.
