Florijan is executive director in the Investors support sector, where he works on the project development and investment consulting for private sector companies. He is in charge of finding appropriate European and national sources of project co-financing, preparing projects and developing business relationships with clients in the private sector.
As an expert with many years of experience in the preparation of projects co-financed by the European Structural and Investment Funds and national funds in the Republic of Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia, he has relevant knowledge about state subsidies, project cycle management (PCM), the operational structure and stakeholders of the ESI funds system, financial instruments and national state aid and small value aid. During his previous work experience, he participated in the preparation of more than 50 projects for the food, metal processing, wood processing, construction and other manufacturing industries, as well as for the ICT sector. The value of grants he provided to investors exceeds 50 million euros. He also gained experience in creating business plans, investment studies and feasibility studies with cost-benefit analysis (FSCBA) for the private and public sector. In addition to the above, he is a lecturer in several courses at the postgraduate university studies of the University of Zagreb.
He completed his graduate studies in political science at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Zagreb. In addition, he trained at the two-year postgraduate university specialist study “Adaptation to the European Union: project management and use of EU funds and programs in the segment of state aid and preparation of investment projects.” He is currently a doctoral student at the University of Zagreb’s post-graduate doctoral studies. He actively speaks English and German.
