THE CHALLENGE
A group of local and international investors has decided to apply the ESCO model to finance private sector infrastructure projects (eg energy) in Croatia and Southeast Europe.
THE SOLUTION
Apsolon’s financial experts have developed a financing model for the project, and a group of experts specializing in the energetics segment identified the technology to be applied. Apsolon was in charge of finding an investor while the management of the company was involved in the operational and technical part of project management.
THE RESULT
The ESCO company has been awarded by the EBRD as one of the best energy projects in Europe. After successfully constructing the first power plant, the customer started the construction of a new power plant, signed a long-term contract with an energy retailer, and attracted a new wave of investments from local and US investors.
