As part of the Project Implementation department in Apsolon, Kristijan is responsible for the preparation and implementation of projects co-financed from EU funds, mainly the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund and national support programs, as well as for finding new business models and developing new services.
He participated in the implementation of projects financed by the European Structural and Investment Funds and national sources with a total value of EUR 30 million, and he gained business experience working for more than 15 years in the public/state sector (Advisory Service, Ministry of Agriculture) on the implementation of investment programs (SAPARD, IPARD , national), programming, education and informing stakeholders and users about measures from the Rural Development Program, and jobs in the field of agrarian economy
He independently applied for EU funds and implemented over 30 projects, participated in the creation of strategic and program documents related to cross-sectoral goals of modernization of the agricultural sector, exchange of knowledge, innovation and digital technologies (AKIS, smart agriculture, etc.). Kristijan graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb, majoring in agroeconomics.
